eCombo53 - A Power and PC interface (data) cable for Garmin eTrex Camo, Legend, Mariner, Summit, Venture, Vista or eMap, Geko (201, 301), Golflogix GPS models. Also includes all HC eTrex models. The cable powers the GPS from the car 12 volt cigarette socket and enables navigational data connection to a Laptop/PC to obtain positional information using the latest moving map software.

Use with AeroPlanner, EasyGPS, Mapsource, Memory Map, Microsoft Autoroute, Fugawi etc. to manage Waypoints, Routes, Maps and for positional navigation.

NOT suitable for new Garmin Legend or Vista C GPS that have a USB Port only. We recommend Garmin original cables only for these GPS. Others do not have a Radio Interference Filter (RFI) fitted.

The cable is able to transfer data without the Car power plug connected to a power source.

Within the cigarette lighter adapter casing is a Motorola based switching power supply that outputs a constant 3.3 Volts for the GPS unit. The Car plug itself contains an easily changeable fuse. Cables are 5 foot and 6 foot long - Car plug to GPS and PC respectivley. 
Every contact point is GOLD plated - including all 3 contacts on the cigarette lighter plug.

This cable uses our new and exclusive, low profile e2Plug - the only plug that allows the GPS to lay flat. The e2Plug is made from very strong GE LEXAN polycarbonate. The e2Plug comes apart and can be replaced if damaged.

The custom designed small DB9F PC connector includes 9 gold plated pins, no fiddly COM port screws - just push in and pull out. Will NOT plug into a USB Port found on many new PCs/Laptops. You will need a USB to COM Port Converter unit in such cases which we provide (see USBG4).

You can use this cable for data transfer from the GPS to PC without the Car plug connected to a vehicle power supply (12 volts).
